GRANVILLE FEATURED IN STORY ON AI DATA CENTERS
In partnership with the Granville Community Foundation, Go Green Granville established the Go Green Granville Fund in 2025 to accelerate climate action in our community. The fund empowers local organizations to install solar electric systems that cut greenhouse gas emissions, protect their budgets from skyrocketing electricity costs, and help achieve community climate goals.
The Go Green Granville Fund awards up to $50,000 in grants to Granville-area schools, civic organizations, and nonprofits to install roof-mounted or ground-mounted solar electric systems. In addition to financial support, grant recipients receive technical guidance from Go Green Granville's solar experts to ensure successful planning and installation.
This grant program is a cost-sharing model open to Granville-area civic groups, nonprofit organizations, schools and local governments with properties suitable for on-site solar panel installation. Applicants must own the property or have a long-term lease agreement to qualify.
Save on energy costs: Solar provides significant long-term savings and can help reduce electricity expenses for decades to come.
Amplify your impact: By transitioning to solar power, organizations can deepen their impact and direct their limited resources toward their missions rather than rising fossil fuel energy costs.
Be a sustainability leader: Showcase your commitment to a cleaner, greener future for our community and inspire others
In early 2026, 32 solar panels will be installed on a maintenance shed to help power the Bryn Du Mansion Barn which houses the Licking County Community Center for 60+ Adults. The 14 kW array will save $2,594 per year in electricity costs and offset an equivalent of 12.4 metric tons of CO2.
Sixteen roof-mounted solar panels on the Licking Park District's James Bradley Center building at Infirmary Mound Park will produce ~6 kW of renewable solar energy and save approximately $1,250 per year in electricity costs.
Project pending.

Not necessarily. East- and West-facing roofs can also be effective and you will be still be able to produce power, just perhaps not as much as a South-facing roof. Plus, solar panels can be installed on other parts of the property or positioned in a way to maximize energy production. Go Green Granville solar experts can provide an initial consult to assess your production potential. Be sure to complete an initial inquiry form above to start the process.
